CVG and Christian Moerlein open Malt House Taproom at airport

moerlein lager house

Throughout 2022, while recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, we continued our efforts to have a positive impact on the Charlotte community. JET CVG was made to marry the love of beer and travel, and inspire locals to jet off to their next adventure. It is a German-style Schwarzbier, “jet” black in color with a light mouth feel and clean lager taste. It pays tribute to Cincinnati’s German brewing legacy featuring Old World Pilsner, Munich, Caramunich II, Carafa III, and Chocolate malts as well as German Hersbrucker hops.

Sorry, you have been blocked

Some of the walls mimic the underground lagering tunnels used at the original brewery. And the private event space has beautiful doors along with display cases featuring ornate Rookwood steins. Erlanger, Ky. (February 26, 2019) ― Today, the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), Christian Moerlein Brewing Company and HMSHost celebrated the grand opening of the new Christian Moerlein Malt House Taproom at CVG. The more than 1,600 square-foot full-service restaurant and bar is operated by global restaurateur HMSHost in Concourse A by gate A15. So keep an eye on this modern, traditional brewery as they have a lot to offer from great beer to great food to special events. There’s a lot to love about the craft beer that you’ll find at the Moelein Lager House.

Continue onto E 3rd St. Use second from the left lane to turn left onto Walnut St. Use second from the left lane to turn left onto Second St East. Take the Event Lawn elevator or stairs right at the Moerlein Lager House. Price is $4 for the first hour and a maximum of $13 for a 24 hour period, except during Reds, Bengals, and other events where special pricing applies.

But that is where a brewpub’s advantage really comes alive. Immediately in the center of the lobby, is a huge display that shows what the brewery would have looked like back in the 1800’s. The Moerlein story is told via a timeline across the bottom while vintage bottles on the right give a visual of how times have changed. This development was a huge shift in how many viewed downtown Cincinnati and brought new life to this area.

LANE ICE SLIDE

It has lots of green space as well as places for all types of people to gather. One of my fears is not giving this venue the credit it deserves so please note that going here and really looking at the details is the only way to truly understand. But take this as an introduction to what you’ll experience. Part of that plan included a brewpub that opened in early 2012.

thoughts on “Brewery Spotlight: Moerlein Lager House – Great Beer & Food With A View”

This brewpub has identical kitchens on both floors which allows them to meet the demands of any size crowd. And considering that it can seat up to 500, that’s quite a feat. Most of the exterior walls are glass which gives sweeping views of the river, downtown spaces, Smale Park and of course the Roebling Bridge.

Central Riverfront Garage Parking with the best entrance into the Moerlein Lager House is just west of the facility on Mehring Way. Numerous entrances are available into this garage including, Second Street by Main, Joe Nuxhall Way, and Race, please follow the signs to the Event Lawn. To take it to the next level, The Moerlein Lager House offers monthly beer dinners. I’ve had quite a few meals here and I’ve always been really happy with the entire experience. Service has been top notch, the venue is beautiful and the food fits perfectly. They also offer a Stein Club for the ultimate enthusiast.

And that’s why I appreciate this brewpub as much as I do. They truly embrace the past while providing an experience that is paving the way for the future of downtown Cincinnati and craft beer. The Christian Moerlein Brewing Company—For over a century and a half, the Christian Moerlein Brewing Company—known for its quality beers and exacting standards—has been part of Cincinnati’s legendary brewing history and heritage. However, food is an element often overlooked and forgotten about.

Why have I been blocked?

Turn left onto W Mehring Way/Ohio River Scenic Byway. Follow on 75 S to use second lane from the left lane to continue on Exits 1A-1B and follow signs for Second St/Downtown/Riverfront. Keep right to continue on Exit 1A, follow signs for Second St/Downtown/Riverfront. Turn right onto Elm St. Turn left onto Mehring Way/Ohio Scenic Byway. They are also looking to add more beer and food events to help everyone better understand how they become better together. I’ve had sandwiches, fish tacos, appetizers and more.

The Christian Moerlein Brewing Company opened in 1853 in Cincinnati, and the new Christian Moerlein Malt House Taproom at CVG celebrates this rich heritage with its handcrafted brews and culinary creations. The Cincinnati Streetcar has a stop on 2nd Street within walking distance of the Moerlein Lager House and Christkindlmarkt. There are numerous areas to park both off street, surface lots, and parking garages along the streetcar line. Cincinnati Public Landing just East of the Moerlein Lager House located at 435 East Mehring Way.

As described, this restaurant and brewery is an anchor in this grand development and the architecture is as much modern as it is timeless. The area between the two stadiums became what we call The Banks. It’s a mix use space featuring restaurants, offices and residences. The Moerlein Lager House sits on one of the main corners in The Banks facing Smale Park – directly across from the Great American Ballpark which is home to the Red’s. The short story is an immigrant from Bavaria found himself in Cincinnati in the mid 1800’s. He began brewing beer and by the time that he passed in 1897, Christian Moerlein had established one of the larger breweries in the region.

During the late 19th century, Moerlein's Over-the-Rhine brewery was the largest in the state of Ohio—and one of the largest in the nation. Soon, from cargo carriers along Cincinnati’s thriving riverfront, the enterprising brewer began to export his beers to faraway locations including Panama, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines. Moerlein’s celebrated Cincinnati lager was also widely sold in New Orleans as well as in the eastern ports of Manhattan, Philadelphia and Boston. To accompany the award-winning brews, travelers can enjoy all-day dining with popular food items reminiscent of Over-the-Rhine where the brewery taproom is located. Menu items include meat and cheese boards, salads, burgers, and beertastic entrĂ©e options. While early morning travelers are greeted with a selection of breakfast favorites to kick of their day.

If I had to make a recommendation, I would say “don’t skip the appetizer”. It will require at least four people to eat it but you won’t regret it. The meat and cheese board is a lighter option that you can’t find at most restaurants and is also really good. Despite having a full scale brewery just up the road, they have a very impressive brewing setup onsite. There are details everywhere you look that make you realize this is more than just a brewpub; it is uniquely Cincinnati.

How to Calculate the Total Price of a Cruise

how much does a cruise ship cost per person

For this reason, solo cruisers should expect to pay anywhere between 150% and 200% of the advertised cruise price. Cruise tickets generally include accommodation, meals, some drinks and entertainment. You’ll pay extra for speciality dining, alcoholic drinks, gratuities, spa services, casino, wifi, flights, transfers and excursions. The Alaska cruise prices vary much more dramatically by room class, as a Verandah is so sought after.

Excursions

Most cruise lines only show the base price of each cruise, and the price you see is usually the cost per person per room (based on double occupancy). Many vacation goers who spend time exploring the Caribbean islands choose to do so by cruise ship. A cruise can be a stress-free way to soak up the sun and sand at incredible tropical destinations.

Taxes and Fees (Including Port Fees)

A cruise can cost anywhere between $550 for 2 adults on a 3-night weekend sailing to upwards of $80,000 total for a family to sail in the most luxurious multi-story suites. The cost of a cruise changes based on itinerary, ship, cruise length, number of passengers, and time of year you sail. The thing that jumps out at me is that the total cost is almost twice the cruise fare.

Cruise Ship Collides With Dock at Turkish Port

However, this price can range from $700 to $4,000 per person, depending on the cruise line and specific itinerary. I sold cruises at different times and one of the training scenarios was to pair the person with the type of car they drove. As funny as this may sound at first, it kind of still holds true in some respects. A modern-day cruise aboard a mega ship is like a floating resort at sea. A person who drives an economy car might be fine with a budget cruise line.

24-hour buffets, grand shows, kids clubs, and even nightclubs where you can party until the sun comes up mean that the fun never needs to stop. Cruise prices can vary widely but before getting into the nitty-gritty of what you can expect to pay, here’s a general guide to get you started. If you're on a budget, it can be tricky to figure out just what your total vacation cost will be and what kind of extra charges to anticipate. While a $7 pina colada likely won't break the bank, you might be surprised to discover how quickly an exercise class here and a round of bingo there can add up.

Currently pricing for the Disney Wish is slightly higher than the other Disney Cruise ships and we anticipate that to last for about a year. I know, it seems like you would get a better deal, right? But the fact of the matter is you do all the work and you pay the exact same price (if not more) versus if you went through a travel agent. When you are looking at how much a Disney Cruise costs, I think one of the main factors you have to take in is how much stuff is included in a  Disney Cruise. Alternatively, if you are willing to wait a few extra months until May 2025 for your Disney Treasure cruise, you can enjoy the experience for less than half the price.

You can also utilize credit card points and airline miles for some of your costs. Cruises can be expensive, so it’s important to set a budget and stick to it. The advertised fare is not really what the cruise cost.

Finally, we arrive at the Disney Cruise Line, the Peter Pan of cruises – where kids and adults can immerse themselves in magic, and no one ever really has to grow up. Disney delivers top-notch entertainment (think Disney musicals and first-run movies), character experiences, and themed dining. Carnival Cruise Line is like that fun uncle who turns every family gathering into a party. Known as ‘The Fun Ships’, their cruises are packed with activities, comedy shows, and nightlife to keep even the most energetic passengers entertained. What you see on the surface – the base cruise fare – is only a fraction of the whole picture. It’s a complex beast, affected by many factors, much like trying to choose the best ice cream flavor at a fancy gelato shop.

Tea and coffee are also included while aboard in addition to all-you-can-eat soft serve ice cream with all the toppings. The only food which is extra charge is at the fine dining of Palo & Remy and Vanelope’s sweet shop. Embark on a magical 5-night Bahamian cruise aboard the Disney Wonder, starting at approximately $1,300 per person for an interior cabin.

If you’re using a travel agent, choose one specializing in booking cruises. The cruise lines now offer special training and certifications to agents who become experts in that specific cruise line. Look for these certifications as well as CLIA certifications. This can often include interior design, cabin amenities, specialty restaurants, food options, entertainment, and more. Most new ships also have the best of the crew and officers onboard to deliver a prized experience.

You should also factor in the cost to get to the cruise port and then back home again. These are fees that the governments of various countries your ship sails to and from mandate, so it's a necessary evil. There are other costs to consider when calculating the overall price of a cruise. Cruise prices are also dynamic, meaning you can find a fantastic deal one day only to have the price increase the next. Knowing this, let’s take a look at a few sample prices of various Royal Caribbean cruise itineraries. When you choose to apply (and are approved) for a new credit card through our site, we may receive compensation from our partners, and this may impact how or where these products appear.

Some quick math shows that Costa paid roughly $449k per cabin for this ship. It's also interesting to look at the Mardi Gras cost per cabin. Some quick math shows that Carnival paid roughly $360k per cabin for this ship.

The ship measures 185k gross tons and is one of the largest in the fleet. If we look at the Costa Smeralda cruise ship cost per tonnage, we get a price tag showing $5,135 per GT. If we look at the Quantum of the Seas cruise ship cost per tonnage, we get a price tag showing $5,632 per GT. If we look at the MV Iona cruise ship cost per tonnage, we get a price tag showing $5,163 per GT. The ship measures 136k gross tons and is one of the largest in the fleet.

Royal Caribbean laundry services on your cruise

can you do laundry on a cruise

The first step to hand-washing clothes on a cruise is to know exactly what you’re washing. The exact price depends on which laundry service you want, if it's expedited or not, and the type of clothing. Laundry options on a cruise ship are limited compared to on land, especially if you're used to doing it yourself. When passengers book any Star Collector (back-to-back) cruise, the laundry package for the stateroom is complimentary. You can make your laundry smell fresh on a cruise ship by adding a few drops of essential oil to the dryer. You can also use a dryer sheet that is scented with your favorite fragrance.

How to iron clothes on a cruise ship

Cruise lines offer varied laundry services, so you can choose what works best for your time frame and budget so your clothing stays in tip-top shape while you cruise. As mentioned, if you don’t want to pay to do your laundry on your cruise, you can also bring your own detergent and wash your clothes in your cabin. However, depending on your cruise length, you may want to pack enough clothes not to worry about laundry. You might be surprised to know that Royal Caribbean does not have any self-service laundry facilities.

Making the Most of Cruise Ship Laundry Services

By researching in advance, cruise-goers can better plan their packing list and enjoy their vacation without worrying about running out of clean clothes. When utilizing the self-service laundry option, you are free to bring and use your own laundry detergent if you wish. This is a particularly helpful option for those who are sensitive to traditional detergent that is available for use in the laundry room. There’s also the option of paying for a laundry bag for around $25. Some passengers may also benefit from Norwegian’s Latitudes Rewards Program and receive discounts or a complimentary bag of laundry per set number of reward points. Carnival Luminosa also does not have any washers or dryers and also doesn’t have any ironing rooms.

Re-wearing clothes on your cruise

On the other hand, full-service laundry means the cruise line's staff will take care of all your laundry needs. This service usually includes washing, drying, and folding of clothes, and in some cases, dry cleaning and pressing are available for an additional fee. Costs can vary widely, so it's advisable to check the rates before sending your clothes off. Despite being more expensive than the self-service option, many travelers find the convenience of full-service laundry to be worth the extra cost.

Seabourn charges $50 per bag, and all items are hung in your closet upon return. Many times, cruise lines will offer laundry specials toward the end of a sailing, providing a discounted rate for a filled bag of laundry. Most cruise ships have banned guests from bringing clothing irons on board as they pose a fire risk. The exception is Marella Cruises which does allow guests to bring a travel iron. Cruise ships will allow guests to bring a flat iron for hair, so you could use this to iron your clothes in a pinch.

Moreover, cruise ships generally do not assume liability for damaged or lost clothing, so you’ll be using these services at your own risk. The good news is that some cruise lines offer irons in their laundry rooms, such as Cunard. For others, you can request an iron from guest services or housekeeping.

Travel Documentation and Online Check-in

The last thing to note about cruise ship laundry is that cabins do not come with irons, and you’re prohibited from bringing your own iron or steamer onboard. The reason is that irons are a fire hazard, and cruise ships try to minimize fire hazards as much as possible. Each one will include several washers, dryers, irons, ironing boards and laundry detergent machines. There are several ways to iron clothes on a cruise ship, including using the ship’s valet laundry service, the provided self-service facilities and even your own way in the cabin. Each one will include several washers, dryers, irons, ironing boards and laundry detergent machines.

They offer a laundry service based on a per-item fee which varies depending on whether you want to wash and press only all the garment dry cleaned. You’ll typically find a labeled laundry bag in your stateroom when using the cruise ship laundry service. Simply fill it with the clothes you want to be washed and dried, and it will be collected by your cabin steward and returned once finished. Each ship in the Holland America Line fleet offers a full laundry, pressing and eco-friendly dry cleaning service. You can pay by the item (from $2), by the bag (from $20) or buy an unlimited laundry package for the duration of your cruise (from $7 per day).

How to Save Money on a Cruise: 22+ Tips and Tricks

Norwegian Cruise Line provides wash and press service and dry cleaning on all ships; there are no self-service laundries. Wash and press services are available the next day or with a 50 percent surcharge for same-day delivery on Crystal River Cruises. Dry cleaning can be arranged shoreside, and the onboard self-service launderette, including detergent, is complimentary. Avalon Waterways provides wash and press service; there is no onboard self-service or dry cleaning available. Another factor to consider is that cruisers aren’t allowed to bring irons or steamers onboard due to a potential fire hazard, making pressing services helpful at times. Keep in mind that the number of washers and dryers is extremely limited and you should strategically plan when to do laundry to find an open washer.

can you do laundry on a cruise

This is a great option if you’re allergic to specific detergents. Moreover, cruise ships generally do not assume liability for damaged or lost clothing, so you’ll be using these services at your own risk. It’s recommended, however, that you bring a limited amount – bring enough for you to do a couple of quick washes if necessary. Single-use laundry detergent is an ideal item to bring onto your cruise.

Once your sink is full of detergent and water, it’s time to soak your clothing in the water. If you’re washing a lot of clothes, you may have to do this in batches to ensure not to overfill the sink and make a mess in your bathroom. The sink is preferable due to the depth, allowing you to soak your clothes and get them as clean as possible. Now let’s walk through the steps of hand washing your clothes on a cruise. The trickiest part about hand-washing clothes on a cruise is finding somewhere to do the hand-washing.

And, on Carnival, most items washed through the valet laundry service cost between $2.00 and $7.00 each. Typically, doing laundry on a cruise ship through the ship’s laundry service will incur per-item charges of several dollars. (Compared to several dollars per load in a self-service center, or $0 additional dollars in your stateroom). Some cruise lines also offer express services for a quicker turnaround.

If you plan to use the self-service laundry on board, you’ll want to time your trip for when you can least expect a queue. Laundry rooms close in the evening and reopen again in the morning so as not to disturb those sleeping in cabins nearby. Clothing send to the laundry on Virgin Voyages ships will be returned by 5.30 pm the next day. However, you can request a same-day service for an extra $20. The set pricing per item means that you pay the same whatever the item is – so you’ll pay $5 to have an evening dress washed but also $5 for a pair of socks. If you have lots of small items, the ‘by the bag’ option definitely works out to be cheaper.

While the methods of laundry-doing vary based on the ship, the answer is yes — cruise ships have laundry facilities. Taking care of laundry on a cruise ship doesn’t need to be a hassle! Most cruise ships offer several options to clean your clothes while you cruise. Carnival offers launderettes for about $3.25 for each washer or dryer load; detergent and water softener will run you $1.50 a box.

Check with your line for its individual liability policy, but reporting the lost or damaged item while still onboard will help your case (and might be mandatory for compensation). On Norwegian, for example, liability is limited to 10 times the price charged for cleaning/pressing of said lost or damaged article (determined on a case-by-case basis). The line is not responsible for shrinkage, fastness of colors, zippers or for articles left in clothing. Doing laundry on a cruise ship is sometimes a necessity, especially if you’re cruising for two weeks or more, taking back-to-back cruises or are cruising with a baby.

MSC Cruises also offers laundry packages but the precise features vary by sailing. On a recent cruise on MSC Seaside, they were offering to wash and fold a set number of pieces for a flat fee – for instance, 30 pieces for $50. The option you choose depends on several factors, such as how light you want to pack for your vacation or whether or not you want to spend time doing laundry. Either way, check with your specific cruise line to ensure you know what laundry services are available to you if you need them.

Manhattan Cruise Terminal Wikipedia

manhattan cruise port

But just like taxis, the cost is determined based onwhere you’ll be picked up. It’s a good idea to compare approximate Uber/Lyftrates with taxi rates to figure out which would be best for you. Taking a yellow taxicab around the city is the most usedmethod of transportation and depending on where you’re being picked up atdropped off it can be much cheaper than renting a car. Now the ManhattanCruise Terminal has only two piers (88 and 90) and can comfortably accommodatethree ships at once at each.

Manhattan, NY

Prices are within a New York reason and the cocktails as generous as the food portions. The current ship terminal now consists only of North River piers 88 and 90. The city had previously done this for the Chelsea Piers, however in Chelsea only landfill was removed. At the Passenger Terminal, actual Manhattan schist was taken away.[6] The results of this can also be seen in the West Side Highway's diversion eastward from West 57th to 42nd Street. The Manhattan passenger terminal is on Hudson River (on Manhattan Island's shoreline), located is between West 44 and West 52 streets. Both Newark International Airport and LaGuardia Airport are located approx 15 mi (24 km) away, while JFK International Airport is approx 20 mi (32 km) away.

Directions to Manhattan Cruise Terminal

Watch out for cars and speeding bicycles when you cross the street, as you'll need to cross a bike path and the highway to get to the terminal. There is a small coffee/snack shop inside the Manhattan cruise terminal. Mount Sinai West Garage charges $30 per night, and theyoffer electric vehicle charging. Upon returning, you can either take a taxi back to your car,and ParkRight will reimburse you up to $5.

As of September 2016, NYCEDC has responsibility for the system's operations and maintenance. In March 2006, some passenger terminals were transferred (as management) to DP World (Dubai-based corporation). The agreements were designed to increase revenues and sustainability/emissions reduction, with term lengths ranging between 3-15 years, each with an optional 5-year renewal.

Instead, you’ll find yourself stressed and struggling to do the things that you should’ve planned on ahead of time. Over the years it has seen millions andmillions of passengers come through Pier 88 and Pier 90, each pier beingupdated now and then to accommodate larger ships and more passengers. For instance, when you book directly through ParkRight(mentioned earlier in the article), they charge $29 per night. However, throughParkJockey, ParkRight costs only $25 per night, and you’ll get valeted to thecruise ship in your own car. A 7-night cruise this way is only going to cost$175 (not including taxes and fees).

From our research, these packages also apply to cruises out of either Cape Liberty or Manhattan. Parking.com has three locations where you can park and thenwalk to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. We recommend NOT choosing the BMWbuilding, as that will cost you $57 per night ($50 per night if you use acoupon). ParkingPanda uses the same lots as SpotHero, and it lookslike at the same rates as well. The same spot we mentioned above, 330 W 56thStreet, is available through ParkingPanda for the same cost, $245 for 7 days. You can book your parking directly through their website ordownload the SpotHero app (iPhone or Android) and use that instead.

In this article, we’ll give you a brief history of the Manhattan cruise terminal and how it became a port for cruise passengers. Then we’ll go over other details and information you’ll need to help make your trip planning go much smoother. Cruise NYC is home to the world’s most spectacular – often fastest, biggest, and most luxurious – cruise ships. Itineraries include Bermuda, Canada New England, Europe, the Caribbean, and world cruises. Each terminal is easily accessible from all NYC airports and from the area’s major roadways. When it comes to Manhattan cruise terminal parking, the most convenient option is parking right at the port.

The redeveloped terminals also segregated embarking and disembarking passengers onto separate levels, allowing for more efficient use of passenger space and reducing congestion. The Manhattan cruise terminal is one of two cruise terminals that make up the Port of New York. Upon disembarkation from your cruise, you'll be picking up your bags and going through customs on the street level of the Manhattan port.

Check in for both piers is on Level Two of the Manhattan cruise terminal; there is only one entrance for each. The parking lot is atop the Manhattan cruise terminal, but it's fairly pricey. Per-day rates are available for up to 10 nights, while there’s a flat rate for stays between 11 and 14 nights.

Cruise from Port Canaveral Orlando with Carnival

cranival cruise lines

Most vessels have standard North American-style, 110-volt outlets in rooms, as well as European-style, 220-volt outlets. All this said, we recommend checking Carnival's website before sailing for the very latest on requirements. On the vast majority of Carnival ships, there's not just a single waterslide but a whole water park area. Dubbed WaterWorks, these areas vary in size and features from vessel to vessel. They typically have one or two big waterslides (sometimes three!), a play zone with interactive water features and a large, continuously filling dump bucket that periodically soaks everybody within range. The top decks of Carnival vessels are covered in family-focused attractions – pools, waterslide areas and bustling fun zones with such draws as ropes courses and miniature golf.

cranival cruise lines

Captain's Suite

Carnival vessels based on the East Coast and along the Gulf of Mexico mostly sail to the Caribbean and Bahamas. Some East Coast ships also head to Bermuda, New England and Canada. On the West Coast, sailings to Mexico, Hawaii and Alaska are the norm.

Havana Premium Vista Balcony

The ship sails on two to five-night and six to nine-night cruises from Miami, Florida, to the Bahamas. The second new show is the "Lone Star Tailgate." Drawing on Texas' love for all things football, Carnival has created four indoor/outdoor "quarters" of fun to mimic the four quarters of a football game. When I sailed, the first quarter, which is all about pool deck games for kids, was held on one sea day, and the other three were held on another sea day.

How much does a Carnival cruise cost?

There's also a hot tub at Loft 19 on Deck 19, which charges a fee for access. Looking to find a group of like-minded travelers on your sailing? Check out meetups for solo travelers, singles, veterans and members of the LGBTQ+ community listed in the daily program. If you show up during "Soundwaves Jukebox," you'll see synthesizer-like graphics pulsating to the music on the giant screens above the space. Carnival Jubilee offers a full roundup of daily activities on each voyage.

And that's why we're sure you're gonna love The Watering Hole, a poolside bar we're building for aficionados of backyard-style relaxation. And for military folks — or folks who just want to raise a glass to them — please report to Heroes Tribute™ Lounge for great service. We know you guys like soft serve too, so we're throwing in a Swirls™ location — one of two! At Summer Landing, fun this cool is literally always in season. Aside from the main pool, which is the hub of much of the line's fun activities, almost every Carnival cruise ship also has at least one waterslide, with several having multi-slide water parks.

They also receive a free night of babysitting in the kids club so parents can enjoy some alone time. We’re at home anywhere we sail… but you can only have one hometown, and for Carnival that is unmistakably Miami. So it’s not hard at all to locate the inspiration for 820 Biscayne on Carnival Celebration. If you’re wondering about the nameplate, that’s the address where it all got started — but nobody has to wonder where all the fun, flavor and good looks you’ll find in this zone were sourced.

Big Chicken

That's about 40% smaller than the biggest ships operated by Royal Caribbean. Indeed, if you're going on a Carnival cruise, the odds are you're driving to the ship, not flying, and you're probably not paying much more than you would for a trip to a local beach town. Carnival Celebration® wouldn’t be complete without a place for you to settle in and recharge after a long day’s fun. Carnival Legend, themed around legends and lore around the world, has two pools and plenty of places to grab a bite, including the Golden Fleece Steakhouse for a stunning multi-course dinner.

Carnival specializes in fun, laid-back, family-friendly cruises. With few exceptions, Carnival sails exclusively from North American homeports and offers some of the lowest pricing in the industry, particularly on short three- and four-night Carnival Caribbean cruises. For an extended cruise from Tampa, Florida, or Baltimore, Maryland, look to Carnival Pride. The ship has something for every type of traveler, including three kids clubs, adult-only spaces, and over a dozen different dining options. Carnival Mardi Gras is a nod to Carnival’s first ship, also named Mardi Gras, which was launched in 1972. The vessel has six onboard zones where families can have fun together, including the Ultimate Playground, where BOLT and the SportsSquare are located. Of course, there’s no Mardi Gras without New Orleans, so the French Quarter zone is where you’ll find Big Easy-inspired amenities like an Emeril Lagasse restaurant. Carnival Luminosa (formerly the Costa Luminosa) is for you if you want to sail to destinations like Alaska and Australia. It also offers occasional itineraries through scenic transpacific spots like Fiji, Tahiti, Hawaii, and Japan. The ship has all of the brand’s classic amenities, like the RedFrog Rum Bar and Punchliner Comedy Club, plus an array of dining options, including sushi, pizza, ice cream, and an over-the-top brunch.

During the day, there is no specific dress code, and people dress casually. If it's a sea day in a warm-weather destination, and you're bound for the top deck, that means looking like you're going to the beach — T-shirts, shorts and bathing suits (with a cover-up to go inside) are just fine. The drinking age on sailings on Carnival ships in Australia is 18.

Here’s the most affordable way to experience Carnival Celebration®, without cutting even a single corner in the comfort department. With an Interior stateroom you’ll get a full private bathroom, your choice of bed size and layout — covered in linens you can feel at home in — all of which make this truly a great spot for curling up after a long day’s fun. The Bonsai Teppanyaki™ experience is set to delight guests aboard Carnival Celebration®. Take a little time out of vacation to sit down to a selection of tempting appetizers, before your chef prepares the main course featuring selections of meats, tofu, fish, shrimp or lobster… right at your table.

This stateroom features a unique nautical dĂ©cor inspired by the craft of seafaring itself. The whole family will also enjoy exclusive access to the nearby Family Harbor Lounge, plus more great perks around the ship. Carnival Elation is currently the fleet's oldest ship, debuting in March 1998, and the only cruise ship from any cruise line that sails from Jacksonville, Florida. Even though the ship is small, with a total guest capacity of 2,606, it’s ideal for a quick weekend away if you want a mix of relaxation and high-energy activities.

When I select a sailing, I book through Carnival Cruise Line’s reservation number to see if I can snag an exclusive deal not listed online. Carnival's free-to-join loyalty program, the Very Important Fun Person (VIFP) Club, offers deals like reduced deposits, onboard credit, and room upgrades. The more you book with the cruise line, the better your deals will be.

In fact, the lower tiers of the Carnival program are among the most stingy in the entire cruise universe. You'll receive things like a single complimentary bottle of water (at the Red tier) and a single free drink that only can be ordered on the last night of a cruise (at the Gold tier). The exceptions are any Carnival ship based in Australia, where pricing is listed in Australian dollars. Note that three of the line's newest ships — Mardi Gras, Carnival Celebration and Carnival Venezia — do not have launderettes. Carnival fans are quite peeved about this, and you should be, too. Passengers can learn to cook everything from Carnival's classic warm chocolate melting cake to its popular saffron risotto during one- to two-hour classes that cost $30 to $59 per person.

Uncover the Secrets: Can Your Dentist Fix a Chipped Tooth?

Uncover the Secrets: Can Your Dentist Fix a Chipped Tooth?

A chipped tooth is a common dental problem that can be caused by various factors, such as biting down on hard objects, trauma to the mouth, or teeth grinding. Chipped teeth can be unsightly and can also cause pain and sensitivity. In most cases, a chipped tooth can be repaired by a regular dentist.

The dentist will first examine the tooth to assess the extent of the damage. If the chip is small and does not affect the tooth's structure, the dentist may be able to repair it with a simple filling. However, if the chip is larger or affects the tooth's structure, the dentist may need to perform a more extensive repair, such as a crown or veneer.
